Rako Controls, a smart lighting controls manufacturer, has developed a plugin to allow its control panels to integrate with BluOS, the platform behind Bluesound and NAD Electronics’ high-resolution multi-room audio products.
The plugin allows playback and volume control, as well as preset selection from any Rako control panel via a user’s Hub to work with any BluOS-enabled product.
Consisting of over 50 products, the BluOS ecosystem includes wireless speakers, single zone stereo systems, AV receivers and rack mount solutions. Thanks to the BluOS platform’s various performance and connectivity options, integrators can tailor audio systems to the client’s needs.
“We’re thrilled that Rako customers can now control their BluOS audio and entertainment environment with the simple touch of a button,” said Peter Broome, director at Rako. “With this integration we are improving compatibility and functionality, and helping to deliver a seamless, integrated experience for users so they can enjoy their homes the way they choose to.”
The new integration is intended to offer greater flexibility to integrators while delivering a better end product to users.
“BluOS was designed for the purpose of making it easy for music lovers to access and control their content, and integrating with Rako takes that a step further,” added Peter Gibb, CI business development manager, EMEA at Lenbrook International. “Rako, like us, believes in creating enriching environments through our products, so we are delighted to collaborate to improve the user experience.”
